Gabriel Schwake
_PhD Candidate
Gabriel is currently a PhD candidate at the TU Delft and a research fellow of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk (ELES). He graduated from the Tel Aviv University’s school of architecture in 2013(magna cum laude), where he also gained his post-professional master’s degree in 2016 (magna cum laude). Gabriel’s PhD focuses on the influences of nationalism and market economy on housing developments since the 1970s. His main research interests include urban renewal, housing, conflict areas, neoliberalism and post-colonialism. Since 2018 he is a lecturer and instructor at the Groningen Academy of Architecture.
